Navigation Officer

A Navigation Officer, often referred to as the Second Officer or Second Mate on a commercial vessel, is primarily responsible for the safe navigation of the ship. Their duties include planning the voyage, updating nautical charts and publications, monitoring weather conditions, and operating navigational equipment to ensure the vessel follows its intended course.
