Port (Left)

In maritime terms, “port” refers to the left-hand side of a ship when facing forward toward the bow (front of the vessel). It is opposite to “starboard,” which denotes the right side, and is traditionally marked with red navigation lights to aid in safe maneuvering, especially at night or in low visibility.
